![]() You can also rack up a big bill if you like to live large. You get a soup or salad, main dish, and then dessert for that price. The atmosphere is pretty and relaxing and I will go back for sure! If you don't add alcohol to your bill you can keep it fairly reasonable by choosing off the 3 course meal list for $39.95. They went over the top to make us feel welcome and comfortable. I'm famous for saying that I would just as soon eat some great chicken wings than to pay that much for food in a fancy restaurant but the staff and food changed my mind 100%. The food was amazing as well! These are no Outback steaks folks! If you order it medium rare it comes out medium rare. I usually hate Chardonnay and I don't usually buy bubbly but it was fantastic. Unfortunately, Eddie Merlots hasnt added any spaces to their profile on The Vendry. This man knows his wines! We enjoyed all of the wines but did narrow it down to our favorite which was a bubbly Chardonnay. Eddie Merlots is located at 3645 East 96th Street, Indianapolis, IN. He was very entertaining with his presentation and knowledge but don't let that fool you. He brought five different wines that he thought we might enjoy based on what kind of wines we usually drink. Last but certainly not least was one of the managers and resident wine expert, Sean/Shawn? I don't know why he picked our table, maybe because we kept staring absently at our wine menus, but he was fantastic! He pushed the wine cart up to our table and said, "Let's party!" The four of us know very little about wine except that we like to drink it! I was concerned that it might be embarrassing to sample wines in front of someone that knows so much but it was quite the opposite. Rodney was our busser and he had us in stitches! He was absolutely hilarious but efficient and a great busser as well. Our server was Alicia and she was attentive, professional and friendly. I have their address saved in my Waze app. I regret I don’t recall the managers name or my waitresses. Or the Oysters Rockefeller, also the best in class I’ve seen. You won’t be disappointed with the Tomahawk. The flavor of the beef was indescribably good with more marbling than a championship boxers new master bath. I tried to post a video here of my FORK cutting the thing, dry aged for 35 days and broiled up to what approaches tastebud insanity. ![]() (I suppose it was vanity that made me order it anyway.) I came in on a Tuesday the second time and the Tomahawks were in house. It was flavorful and tender enough but I’m simply not a strip guy, regardless of the steersman rounding it up. On my first visit in April, the Tomahawk ribeye was sold out and I elected for the Greg Norman wagyu strip. You be the judge of how qualified this review is. That means I eat in 600+ restaurants a year, a good 15% of them $$$$ establishments. An eminently motivated time zone jumper helping national brands compete, I work almost exclusively away from home, traveling over 300 days a year as a construction manager. ![]()
